Infrared/Moisture meter
|
We also use Infra-red Thermography and moisture meter technology in addition to water testing to isolate rain leak sources.
For home owner education, view the video below where he will define Infrared and Thermography. It is also defined at the bottom of this page with definitions and a link. |

This is a rather technical field. I will give you some definitions but to get a laymans idea of this technology, I suggest watching the video and the link at the bottom of the page otherwise this can turn into quite a study in physics and is not so necessary for understanding the use of what physicists have already created: an infra-red thermographer and what it does.
infra- a prefix meaning “below”: infrared red (rɛd) n 1. (Colors) any of a group of colors, such as that of a ripe tomato or fresh blood, that lie at one end of the visible spectrum, next to orange, and are perceived by the eye when light in the approximate wavelength range 740-620 nanometers falls on the retina. thermo- or therm- A prefix that means "heat," as in thermometer. (also see the link below). heat 1. (General Physics) b. the random kinetic energy of the atoms, molecules, or ions in a substance or body kinetic 1. pertaining to or caused by motion. -graphy Writing or representation produced in a specified manner or by a specified process: photography Infra-red themography by Flir imaging technology. |
